As part of our business we also do various haulage work for different companies. The lorry is a 26 tonne 6 wheel rigid vehicle with a payload of 14 tonnes. The vehicle has a forklift attached ( mounted moffett) at all times which gives the benefit of getting the goods exactly where the customers want. For example, down narrow roads unsuitable for larger vehicles, or down a driveway leading to a property and so forth. As a rule palletised goods are ideal for this sort of combination.

Along with doing work for other people we obviously coincide  with our own work of delivering turf. The forklift comes in very handy especially on a big order when a lot has to be unloaded, and of course a big time saver for both us and the customer.

Like the turf, we usually need a couple of days notice so we can plan our work in advance so we can be as prompt as we possibly can.
